FixICE.org
FixICE.org works to expose the reality of the ICE detention center at 1000 District Ave. in Burlington, where members of our New England community are being held in inhumane conditions and with no due process. We protest in front of this building every Monday & Tuesday, 10am–1pm. We believe that protest, advocacy, and education are key to delivering justice for those held within. Our mission is to empower people to take effective action to stop ICE cruelties, support immigrants, and win elections that create lasting change.
Bearing Witness
Bearing Witness is a peaceful protest outside the ICE office, where immigrants are detained illegally and kept in squalid conditions. Attendees gather to support immigrants and express outrage over ICE’s illegal and cruel behavior. The weekly standouts occur Wednesdays, 11am–1pm, at 1000 District Ave. in Burlington, near the mall. The program includes guest speakers who share stories of people detained and attendees distribute food and resources for immigrants who arrive for appointments. The vigil concludes with a peaceful march along District Ave. to Mall Rd.
Justice 4 All
Justice 4 All is a weekly protest at the ICE Facility in Burlington every Thursday & Friday, 11am–1pm organized by Greater Assabet Indivisible Network (GAIN). We come together to push for Immigrant Justice with live music, a standout with signs, and a march to Mall Road. Speakers share local stories of immigrants arrested and brought to this facility, exposing the human impact of this administration’s “ICE Machine.” Our goal is to stop the abuse at this illegal prison and demand justice for all, guided by a vision of America that lives up to our pledge of allegiance.
No Fear Street Theater
No Fear Street Theater mounts protests along Burlington Mall Road at District Ave. Saturdays, 11am–1pm. In addition to signs, costumes, and flags, we do open mic speechifying, poetry, Shakespeare, historical anti-fascist speeches, sea shanties, and a rocking playlist on our PA system. We support and complement Weekend Watch who protects migrants being released from ICE two blocks away. This is a creative, participatory protest. If you support immigrants and their constitutional rights, join us!
Weekend Watch
Formed in response to an incident where MAGA rally-goers surrounded and intimidated a recently released detainee, Weekend Watch is a vigil-style action that creates a safe space for immigrants and their families outside of BIF on Saturdays, 10am–2pm. This action is much quieter than No Fear Street Theater (NFST) down the road; attendees knit, listen to music, make snowmen, and chat together. We also happily host any NFST attendees who need some quiet or a homemade muffin. We aim to show everyone at BIF – ICE and immigrants both – that this community supports immigrants and rejects the current regime.
